The Romspen Mortgage Investment Fund commenced operations on January 16, 2006 as an unincorporated closed-end investment fund established under the laws of the Province of Ontario. This pooled investment vehicle is available to qualified investors. The interest earned by the Fund is distributed monthly to the unit holder and is RRSP and RRIF eligible.

The mandate of the Romspen Mortgage Investment Fund is to provide investors with a reliable monthly income source secured by a portfolio of commercial mortgages. The ability of the Fund to achieve superior returns begins with prudent lending. The Fund’s successful performance is the result of Romspen Investment Corporation’s (the Fund manager) low tolerance for risk and the vast experience of its principals, some of whom have been active in mortgages since 1969.

Romspen Investment Corporation, the Fund manager sources, underwrites and administers the Fund’s mortgage portfolio. The Corporation’s principals and management are experienced in sourcing, underwriting and managing mortgages secured by commercial real estate including retail, industrial, office and multi-family residential properties – market segments often under- serviced by banks and large financial service providers.
